On July 11th and 12th, the Symposium City'Scape: City Climate Tourism Energy Brand Landscape - Landscape Design as Strategy: Landscape Quality in Climate Change for Urban and Social Resilience will be held at the Palazzo della Triennale di Milano.
An educational event of reference in the sector of Landscape Architecture.
It has been organized by Paysage - Promotion and Development for Landscape Architecture and the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators, and with the collaboration of the OAPPC of Milan.
The focus of the event is climate change: the great challenge of our time. A global-scale phenomenon that produces impacts on landscape, urban spaces and all aspects of daily life.
How to adapt urbanized realities to new demands dictated by climate and social change. The goal is to define construction and urbanization methods that can reduce the effects of global warming and more extreme weather events while preserving structures and environments.
We proceed with the study and adaptation of the structures that realize urban landscapes in order to make them tools for urban and territorial planning.
The focus of design returns to the landscape as a whole: with actions to protect, maintain and enhance it, through an attitude of listening and caring that allows a balance to be found between the natural element and the built world, in order to achieve economic and social environmental benefits.
