The New Together: the Platform initiative to be held in Venice from May 20th to July 30th during the opening of the 18th Architecture Biennale, combining international cultural events and networking.
A Collective Exhibit, organized by Luca Molinari, Platform Editorial Director, and with the collaboration of Simona Finessi and a young curatorial team, which will focus on understanding the evolution of space design to meet the needs of the times we live, through the projects of 140 architectural firms from around the world.
The event will be held at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice, a monumental space designed by Sansovino restored in 2015, where art, history and culture dialogue with the territory.
During Platform Architecture Festival to be held from June 23rd to 26th, the studios involved will tell their vision of this theme during the four days of debate and discussion with the aim of creating a platform where gather all the ideas that emerged during the event, identifying the heterogeneous languages of contemporary living.
Taking care about the expositive project of the principal exhibit is Superluna, an architecture Under 40 studio founded in Como in 2017. Superluna presented the planning scheme of te New Together by imaging displaying the 140 projects in 14 structures that are inspired by the buoys as a tool to give direction, illuminate and brighten the contemporary.
The 14 buoy structures collect and host exhibition panels, creating thematic islands. "Each buoy focuses on an action, a desire for a rediscovered sense of been together in all those places and for all those needs that draw the daily lives of each of us."
Eterno Ivica will be the official sponsor of the event, an opportunity to meet and promote the world of architecture and design.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday, May 19th at 6 p.m. for the opening of the exhibition at the Scuola Grande di Misericordia in Venice.
